Health Quality Transformation 2015

Thank you to all the delegates, poster presenters, exhibitors and speakers from across the province who joined us on October 14, for Health Quality Transformation 2015.

As Canada’s largest annual conference on health care quality, the day was our biggest yet featuring over 25 unique breakout sessions, six Lunch and Learn workshops as well as partner exhibitors, and posters from research happening across the province. Once again, the Minister’s Medal Award for Quality and Safety was awarded at HQT2015. The medal honours health system champions that put patients at the centre of the circle of care. Find out more about the 2015 award winners here.

Check out highlights from the day below!

For the first time, HQT keynote presentations are available on our YouTube page. Begin with the opening remarks from Joshua Tepper, President and CEO of Health Quality Ontario that kicked off HQT. Then, relive or see for the first time The Pivot Point: From Pilot to System Solution, the inspiring remarks from Dr. Danielle Martin, Vice President, Medical Affairs and Health System Solutions at Women's College Hospital.

Watch Judith John share her perspective as both a patient and caregiver, and André Picard, the award winning national public health writer discuss the promise of “patient-centered care”, and what it really means – and looks like - to patients and their families.

For more information about patient, family and caregiver content at HQT, visit our Patient and Family Advisors: Coming Together to Transform the Health System section. In collaboration with The Beryl Institute, HQO created a unique patient, family and caregiver advisor focused content track within the agenda of HQT2015. Led by a committee of Patient Advisors, the program included unique breakout sessions and several networking opportunities allowing patient and family advisors from across our health system to come together to share experiences and best practices.
