Waiting for Placement

This indicator shows the median (middle) number of days people waited to be admitted to a long-term care home, from the date of application to the date they moved in, over a one-year period.

Antipsychotic Medication Use

This indicator shows the percentage of long-term care home residents without psychosis who were given antipsychotic medication in the seven days preceding their resident assessment, during a one-year period.

Worsened Symptoms of Depression

This indicator shows the percentage of long-term care home residents who suffered increased symptoms of depression such as sadness, anger, anxiety or tearfulness, during a one-year period.

Pressure Ulcers Among Residents

This indicator shows the percentage of long-term care home residents who developed a new stage 2 to 4 pressure ulcer, sometimes referred to as a bed sore, or had an existing pressure ulcer that worsened to stage 2, 3 or 4, during a one-year period.

Pain Among Residents

This indicator shows the percentage of long-term care home residents who experienced moderate pain daily, or any severe pain, in the seven days preceding their resident assessment, during a one-year period.
