Rick Vanderlee

Dr. Rick VanderleeDr. Rick Vanderlee is a Full Professor and the founding Dean for the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies at Nipissing University, North Bay. He is currently in his second term as Dean of the Faculty and Dean of the Muskoka campus. He is an Adjunct Professor at Laurentian University and Associate member of the graduate program in the Schulich School of Education.

He has held several faculty and administrative appointments in both academia and health care for 25 years. Previous academic appointments include Dean of Arts of Science (Interim) and Director for the School of Nursing at Nipissing University; Associate Dean and faculty member in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary; Director for Learning and Development in the Calgary Health Region; faculty member at Laurentian University and the University of Western Ontario; and several nursing positions typically in acute care and intensive are settings. His community involvement has included serving as President of the Nipissing and Parry Sound Children's Aid Society and several community athletic associations.
