Health Quality Ontario currently reports on 11 long-term care quality indicators for the province of Ontario, covering the following health topics:

  • Incontinence
  • Activities of daily living
  • Cognitive function
  • Pain
  • Falls
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Restraints
  • Medication safety
  • Health human resources
  • Infections

These indicators are categorized within the following five attributes of a high-performing health care system:

  • Appropriately resourced
  • Focused on population health
