Evidence to Improve Care

Health Technology Assessment

The Ontario Health Technology Assessment Program is undergoing changes to streamline technology evaluation and improve the way we work with health system stakeholders including patients, clinicians, and industry.

Ontario is developing an integrated Health Innovation Pathway to accelerate the adoption of new technologies that can improve patient care. The Pathway will connect the dots for end-to-end innovation adoption in Ontario, creating a single window for innovators to introduce new solutions and giving health service providers the tools they need to improve care.

As we prepare to launch the Health Innovation Pathway, we are pausing applications for health technology assessments. If you have submitted a suggestion for a health technology assessment and funding recommendation, we have received it and will contact you with next steps.
