Evidence to Improve Care

Evidence and Health Quality Ontario

Woman with doctor

We promote health care supported by the best evidence.

To do this, we use established scientific methods to analyze evidence and develop assessments of new and existing health care services and medical devices. These reviews, called health technology assessments also include recommendations on whether these services and devices should be publicly funded.

We also create quality standards, a go-to resource for quality care. They are based on the best available evidence and include a robust program to support adoption.

All the evidence work we do is designed to lead to better health outcomes and a better care experience for all Ontarians.
