Health Quality Ontario (HQO) is in the process of redesigning the public reporting website. During this process, the website will not be updated with the monthly and quarterly data. HQO will resume posting data in Fall 2017.
Ontario hospitals are committed to creating an environment that is safe for patients. By publicly reporting data on patient safety indicators, hospitals strive for transparency, accountability and using that data to drive quality improvement.
Health Quality Ontario currently reports on 10 hospital care quality indicators for the province. These indicators cover hospital-associated infections, surgical site infection prevention, hand hygiene compliance among hospital health care workers (before patient contact and after patient contact) and Surgical Safety Checklist compliance.
