Evidence to Improve Care

Diabetes (Type 2)

Care in All Settings for People of All Age

This standard will address care for people at a higher than average risk of developing type 2 diabetes, those with prediabetes, and those currently living with type 2 diabetes. It will include all health care settings for both pediatric and adult patients.

This standard will cover assessment, screening and diagnosis, management, and psychosocial care. The standard will not address care for pregnant people with type 2 diabetes or people with monogenetic diabetes.

The work on this quality standard started in September 2018.
