Choosing Wisely in Long-Term Care

Get started on improving quality at your hospital with change packages focusing on Choosing Wisely Ontario’s hospital priorities:

You can use this change package to review your processes and identify areas that could use improvement.

The package includes resources to help you get started, sample indicators to track your progress, and links to an online forum where you can connect with others working on the same change idea.

Other areas of focus could include appropriate prescribing for asymptomatic bacteriuria and antipsychotic use. Choosing Wisely Canada has created several resources for these important topics, including Recommendations for Geriatric Care, Antibiotic Prescribing for Urinary Tract Infections, and Antipsychotic Prescribing.
