System Performance

Primary Care Sector Performance

Family doctors, nurse practitioners and other primary care providers are often the first point of contact with the health system for people living in Ontario.

The nine primary care quality indicators on this site represent the very first coordinated and comprehensive system-level public reporting on primary care in the province. The site's interactive graphs offer patients and health care providers meaningful and timely information.

This data is available for information purposes only. All of our data comes from external data providers, which may occasionally make adjustments to the data published here. We ensure the information we report is of the highest quality, and protects privacy and confidentiality. We do not access any data that identifies personal information.

The selection of the primary care indicators used to measure performance was the culmination of many years of work by the Primary Care Performance Measurement Steering Committee, a group of dedicated health system partners and patients with extensive experience and expertise in primary care.
