Coming in early 2019, these confidential, voluntary reports for general medicine physicians and hospital care teams will provide personalized data, along with suggestions on how to improve care for their patients.
Practice, regional and provincial-level data will be included so physicians and their care teams can see their care patterns in relation to their peers.
Reports will include:
- Patient demographics and health outcomes as they relate to length of stay, readmissions, in-hospital mortality, routine bloodwork, advanced imaging, and blood transfusion
- Measures to assess the use of diagnostic and clinical resources
- Data to show where physicians are providing high-quality care and potential opportunities for improvement
- Change ideas to help drive quality improvement
A MyPractice: General Medicine Report is currently being piloted at St. Michael’s Hospital. It will be shared with six other hospitals in early 2019 using data and analytics from existing clinical databases.
