What is Health Quality

Building an Integrated System for Quality Oversight in Non-Hospital Medical Clinics

In December 2014, the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care asked Health Quality Ontario to examine the current quality oversight programs in all non-hospital medical clinics and create a report with recommended steps to improve quality oversight in these settings.

Health Quality Ontario set up an advisory committee of health care leaders to consider all existing quality assurance programs and regulations related to these types of facilities.

The panel also looked into clinics and services that are not currently subject to any form of oversight.
