Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee

Your expertise can help us make informed recommendations on genetic and genomic services and devices in Ontario.

The Ontario Genetics Advisory Committee is a standing committee of the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee that helps make evidence-based recommendations to the Ministry of Health on which health care services and devices should be publicly funded.

The committee is made up of volunteer members from across the province, including health care experts and individuals who can contribute the patient perspective.

We are looking for experienced and knowledgeable individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Public health genomics

  • Genetic counselling

  • Laboratory genetics

  • Health economics


Expected commitment:

  • Participating in monthly meetings in Toronto, typically lasting 4 to 6 hours

  • Committing to a three-year membership

  • Reviewing documents circulated between meetings, and participating in occasional teleconference meetings

Health Quality Ontario will be accepting applications until July 24, 2019.
