Health Quality Ontario develops a number of supportive programs and resources to help organizations adopt and implement new funding models introduced by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under its Health System Funding Reform strategy.
Health Quality Ontario’s supportive programs focus specifically on helping organizations adopt:
The Quality-Based Procedures strategy combines the introduction of new hospital funding models with clinical best practice recommendations for specific patient populations (for example, patients receiving hip replacements).
Integrated funding models, sometimes known as ‘bundled care,’ where a group of health care providers determine a single payment to cover all the care needs of an individual patient's hospital care and home care.
