Sign Up to Receive Our Long-Term Care Practice Report
Physicians can sign up to receive our latest report to help inform their quality improvement efforts.
If you’re a physician who provides care for residents living in long-term care homes, you can sign up to receive Health Quality Ontario’s (HQO) new quarterly Long-Term Care Practice Report. Launching in September, this report will allow long-term care physicians to access data to support quality improvement and better patient care.
The Long-Term Care Practice Reports provide confidential customized data to participating physicians about their practice. With an initial focus on antipsychotic prescribing patterns, these reports allow physicians to compare individual practice-level information, and patterns with regional and provincial level data.
The reports are created by HQO with data provided by the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). In addition to data, the reports provide examples of ideas to support quality improvement. Physicians working in primary care are already using HQO’s personalized reports.
In order to take part, you’ve got to register. Sign up before July 31 on our website to receive the very first of these reports in September 2015. The report is released quarterly, so if you miss this deadline, you can sign up at any time to receive the next edition of the report.
The report is strictly confidential. Unlike the annual Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs), the data from your individual Long-Term Care Practice Report is just for you and is not reported to HQO or anywhere else.
Since registration opened last week, we’ve already seen a lot interest from many physicians and we hope that others will take advantage of this opportunity. It’s a chance to receive rich data that many have never had access to before.
We’re always looking to improve – even in the way we deliver our reports. After you receive your first Long-Term Care Practice Report, please share any feedback by emailing us at email@example.com.
